Next-generation "SMD niobium/polymer solid electrolytic capacitor" developed

We have successfully established the technology for commercializing a next-generation SMD solid electrolytic capacitor with new materials: niobium, which is abundantly in existence, in place of tantalum, the conventional anode material of tantalum capacitors that is expected to run out as a resource in ten years, and a conductive polymer with superior electrical characteristics in place of manganese dioxide the conventional cathode material.

* Excellent safety against short circuit ignition realized by the combination of niobium and polymer
* Superb frequency characteristics up to 10MHz at an industry-leading level
* High reliability characteristic of niobium anode
* Category temperature: –55°C to +105°C / Rated voltage: 2.5V to 10V

The EP-cap is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a hybrid cathode formed by combining an electrolyte and electroconductive polymer with high conductivity.
The product line including models with up to 125°C endurance (HVP Series) has now been expanded by the present models that withstand 135°C (HVT Series).

Ideal for in-vehicle electrical components that require high temperature durability.

The EP-cap is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a hybrid cathode formed by combining an electrolyte and electroconductive polymer with high conductivity.
The product line including up to 63V models, which was the industry's highest voltage rating, has now been expanded by the present models with a higher rated voltage of up to 100 V (HVH/HVP Series).
